World of Warcraft vs Lord of the Rings Online – What is the best game?
There is no doubt that the two hottest MMORPG (if not the two most popular games), is currently World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online. Both play an ever increasing range of players to explore the world with thousands of guests to fill hundreds of monsters to kill, and an almost infinite amount of other activities. But what is the best game?
One of the keys to a successful MMORPG is the community, something that clearly World of Warcraft, itprevail. September published in November 2004, Blizzard is building a solid subscriber base of 9 million, numbers that are otherwise unknown in other online games. Thanks to this, to find groups of people to work with, is never a problem. The Lord of the Rings, on the other hand is still a relatively new game (obviously), not so many players. This is a problem because many people in the game is team based, and levels 5-20, it was extremely difficult for a group to findresearch (in my game time in mid-June). Having said that, although the vast majority of players in Lord of the Rings had the impression that they are "serious players" and much more mature than those in World of Warcraft.
Aesthetics seen The Lord of the Rings wins with its images and graphics. Exploring Middle-earth will be decided by the eye, but it is pleasing to the eye has a cost – literally – because it requires more than a decent computer to rungame. This will undoubtedly push Lord of the rings of growth and further strengthen the World of Warcraft, thanks to a little 'simple graphics using relatively low computer specification requirements.
It would take all day between positive and negative matches to write, so I keep it short. If you have a computer powerful enough to run the latest games available and you do not mind a small player base, with The Lord of the Rings. Otherwise, go with World of Warcraft. Both gamesfantastic, and both charge $ 14.95/month – the decision is in your hands (and your credit card!).
